Alistair Darling ‘We will fight for every vote’

Last night, No campaign leader Alistair Darling issued the results of a Yougov poll showing that only 33% of people believed that Scotland should become independent.

The No Campaign speaks for the majority of people who believe that Scotland is better off being a part of the Union.

Why should the majority be left without a voice? We need to speak out and say:

NO to a weakened economy.

NO to isolation.

NO to a weakened defence.

As Mr Darling said, “The nationalists will go to great lengths to try to prove there is a groundswell towards leaving the UK, but the truth is their campaign has stalled. Independence is as unpopular as it has ever been.

“I believe it is better for Scotland to be in the UK, especially with the crisis in Europe. We will be fighting for every vote”

  1. I rarely drop remarks, however i did some searching and
wound up here Alistair Darling We will fight for every vote – No Scotland.
And I do have 2 questions for you if you do
not mind. Could it be just me or does it appear like some of these comments appear as if they are left
by brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are writing on other social sites,
I’d like to follow anything new you have to post. Could you list of all of your communal sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

  2. Douglas Thomson says:

Well it’s a very simple message to all the ‘we cannaes’. Scotland is a nation. Nations do better when they govern themselves. You either believe that or you believe all the propaganda from 300 years which has treated us as second class citizens. If you wish to hand over all your income to your neighbours and have them make all decisions for you – vote no to remain a dependist second class stateless nation which growls occasionally but can do nothing for itself.
    Your decision.

  3. Reblogged this on Daibhidhdeux's Blog and commented:
    What majority might that be?

  4. Whilst I am certain that I wish for Scotland to stay in the union, as an Englishman, I feel that the English, particularly those of the south-east need to stop looking down their noses at the other members of the union.
